Glazed units
Glazed units type
In modern construction there is a variety of challenges facing transparent wall partitions. Thanks to modern solutions double glazed glass can protect against the loss of heat, prevent over-heating, protect against noise and constitute a temporary form of protection against burglary.
A glazed unit consists of at least two panes of glass which create an internal cavity filled with air or other gas, separated and sealed around the perimeter using a multi-step combination process by means of a spacer bar, sealing compounds and water vapour adsorbents (desiccants).

Air tightness of glazed units
One of the most significant evaluation criteria for glass units is air tightness in terms of moisture penetration and loss of the glass unit’s internal gas, which serves to increase the thermal or sound insulation properties.
The solutions currently employed by PRESS GLASS ensure the superior air tightness of glazed units with spacer bars curved or cut in corners.
