We run and support building of the “Green Relax Zone” in Tczew

On 19 – 23 March 2018, PRESS GLASS employees and people cooperating with the Complex of Special Centres in Tczew took part in a charity relay race in the areas of Kociewie and Kashubia. The money “earned” by running will be spent on building and equipping of the Green Relax Zone for the charges under the care of the Centre.

The charity relay race was organised by the employees of the Complex of Special Centres in Tczew. “The idea was born among the employees of the Complex of Special Centres in Tczew and parents of those under the Centre’s care“, says Dominik Brosze, an employee of the Centre.

“We were driven by one objective – we want to create a safe leisure centre for our charges who suffer from disability, where they could relax and calm down. The children and youngsters under the care of the Centre suffer from different kinds of disability, mainly mental, but also motor and multiple disability, genetic diseases and autism. More often than not the children are not able to make a single step on their own. On their behalf we covered 460 km, visiting major county towns in Kociewie and Kashubia. We were very happy to see PRESS GLASS employees joining us”, said Dominik Brosze.

The route of the relay race crossed the county towns of the Pomeranian region, including Starogard Gdański, Chojnice, Człuchów, Bytów, Lębork, Wejherowo, Puck, Kartuzy, Kościerzyna and Tczew. Stops during which fund raising was organised were planned in the towns along the route. Nine participants of the race wearing “PRESS GLASS We run and support” T-shirts covered a distance of over 160 km, which resulted in collecting the amount of 830 PLN. The money will be spent on building and equipping of the Green Relax Zone for disabled children and youngsters under the care of the Complex of Special Schools in Tczew.

Dominik Brosze informed that fund raising has not stopped.

“The charity relay race is over but fund raising will continue till the end of April 2018. We are on the right track to achieve our goal but we still need financial support“.
